RE: California City Riders Fee

Ok, we have never been there but now you all have me wondering. Not worried about the fees, so where would be a good place to camp and best way to get there for the first time coming from the San Bernardino area.

RE: 2007 WW SL2805 Electrical

It was the in line 40 amp fuse from the batteries actually. It also burnt a portion of the fuse holder. Now All I have to do is figure out why it blew.

2007 WW SL2805 Electrical

Our 12v power just went out and was wondering if anyone had any idea's on what to check for. The fuses are all good and the generator starts up but when we are plugged into the trailer and switched on nothing 12V comes up. Batteries have water, smart charger is on green all the time. We did have it plugged into shore power for a few days as well just to charge the batteries.
Anyone have any idea's ??? Thanks for the help in advance.

RE: OHV problems in Randsburg?

I agree with everything said except for the public nudity-
That part is okay!
As long as they are not fat people- Fat people should only be allowed to doing it in public after sunset and/or prior to sunrise!
Or naked hairy people. Or better yet, naked fat hairy people. No naked hairy fat people. :B

RE: Brake lights problems on the WW

Happened to mine once. It was a fuse in the truck and the trailer. Both out at same time. Only did it once though and hasn't happened since.

RE: Post photos of your toyhauler

DK how did you like Vail Lake. That's the new lake they just opened a few years ago isn't it. Was thinking of maybe going for an extended weekend. A little pricey maybe for what they have to offer. How much to launch a water vehicle.
Macs Dad,
Weeeelllllll, to be quite honest, I think that $65 a night is too steep. Yes they had a nice pool. Yes there is plenty of mountain bike trails, and damn good ones too. Yes there is fishing (catch and release only $10 per person per day at Vail Lake ~3 miles drive away) and swimming. Yes there is a new $10 an hour water slide, but...
The infrastructure was in very poor shape. The electrical hookups were rusted and falling apart. I couldn't hook up my sewer because (and I do have every adapter you can think of) the hose wouldn't fit into the receptacle.
However, that said, it was quiet, and clean from trash. They had maintenance folks picking stuff up regularly. We stayed in Chardonnay #29 which is a little lower than the rest of the Chardonnay mesa.
There were loads of mud daubers to the extent that we tried to eat in the village, and couldn't take a bite of our food w/o worrying that we'd get a bee in our mouth. I hear that's just a July/August issue though.
As for the launch fees, we don't have a boat, but Vail Lake is private, and you can inquire about a membership on their webpage here: http://www.vaillakeresort.com/index.php?p=3_4_Vail-Lake-Membership
Will we go back? Probably not. I heard they are considering charging for each campsite individually for electric. They definitely need to do something to bring up the quality if they hope to keep folks coming back.
I am still impartial to something closer to home in San Dimas. East Shore RV Park is a pretty fair bargain for ~$44 a night. There you get great infrastructure and digital cable too with Wi-Fi. This was something missing from Vail Lake, and I expect that when getting a "Full" hookup.
For the most part we dry camp in Stoddard and Johnson valleys in the high desert, so when I shell out the $$$ I expect some amenities to go with it.
BTW, anyone know of a place that has hookups, you can fish in a half decent lake and ride dirt bikes legally?
Please let me know because so far that place doesn't exist in my searches.
I hope this helps, and your mileage may vary as everyone has different expectations, so please don't flame me because it's your favorite place, I'm just relating my relatively noob observations.:B
Dan ...
D, thanks for the campsite review. Ya think we'll skip that one. As for the riding and fishing area's. The only one's I'm aware of are up north Mammoth/Bishop area.

RE: What are the WW prices at dealers now?

Was just checking Craigs List Inland Empire and man there seems to be a lot of used toy haulers for sale from private owners. A lot of WW as well. A lot of them are newer models to.

RE: Buying a 2007 Weekend Warrior 30FS

WW told me that the damage was a function of leaving the WD bars on while going over the whoop-de-dos for the off-road guys. They advised just loosening the bars for those situations.
Just be aware that the tongue weight will be around 2,000lbs loaded for a trip.
WW told people a lot of things while this was happening, instead of the truth and just admitting they had a problem and notifying people. My friend had the issue with the tongue bending on his FT SL and when he took it in to get fixed WW actually had the nerve to ask him "what has he been hauling in this thing" like it was his fault when they knew all a along it was the thickness of the steel at the A frame. Man that really pissed me off that they actually asked him that.
Diconnecting the WD bars is the worst thing you can do when you off road. It was just a design flaw is all. As soon as WW knew about it (as well as the other issue's) they should of notified their customers right away and took care of it. Would of been way better for them and their reputation instead of all the BS they gave their customers.

RE: WW Repairs

Got a question. Is there a list of the WW's models that are affected by the frame issues? I have the 2007 FSW2800. No problems with it, but am curious if this model had any problems with the frames.
In regards to the warranty, I took mine in a few weeks ago for some wiring issues and the dealer, A&M RV in Anchorage took care of it even knowing that WW wasn't honoring the warranty. So far they are standing behind it. The dealer told me that WW was establishing a fund to pay the warranties.
Thanks
Dale
I don't think any 2007s have frame problems.
I didn't here of any issue's on 2007's as well but when we took our trailer (2007 SL2805) for misc. repairs, without mentioning it to us, WW went ahead and added some bracing at the perimeter and down the center and repainted the hole frame. We noticed it when we went to pick it up and asked WW about and they said they were doing it on the trailers that came as a cautionary thing.

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

The dealer in pacheco/ Martinez Ca has removed their WW units from their lot. Anyone from this area know what the dealer has done with them????
Maybe check local auctions, or call the dealer and ask them what they did with them.

RE: Is this a good deal??

Jerry is just Jerry. Straight and to the point. No BS. We were looking at Attitudes before our WW and Jerry was the cheapest around. He's pretty honest as well. We were looking as FS2600 and 27' 5th Wheels and he actually told me I didn't have enough truck for those and steard me towards the FS2300. No other dealer did that and we talked to a lot of them. They all said the same thing. "Your truck will pull them fine, no problem". Don't take the kids when you go see him. He is inpatient when it come to kids.

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

This is what Mark told RV Business
Scroll up
After reading that, WW doesn't look to good but I really hope they can pull something else off and come back as WW does owe me warranty work.
I do like the cosmetics of WW. If they do come back hope they hire a structural engineer familiar with TH's to help improve on the infastructure. Wouldn't require one full time, just to check out what they will be design building in the future to confrim it would calc out and hold up to the real weights of the trailer and what they are rated to hold.
Quality control # 1 priority. Checklists and inspections as the trailers are being and are built complete.
Also if they do come back and start building again and find issues with what they are building, notify their custmomers right away in writing and fix them. Don't wait and let the issue's turn into threads on this or any other web site.
Just a few suggetions Mark. Good Luck.
Hey I can dream can't I :@

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

Interesting thing just happened to me. I just called WW got the normal phone system it asked for the extension I wanted I typed in Mark's extension the phone rang and he answered...
I did not ask him about any of the problems, I just wanted to call him and let him know I got my trailer back and I was very happy with how is people fixed my trailer and handled my warranty work and got my trailer back to me in a timely manner. Now I admit he did not sound up beat, he sounded very down, BUT I can tell you that the WW phone system is working and Mark is answering his phone.
J
So what is Marks extension???? Id like to see if I could speak with him.

RE: Weekend Warrior Warranty Work Scheduled

While I could do these repairs myself, and have done some already, I feel it necessary to try to get WW to actually confirm they won't. I want it straight from the horses mouth. No hear say. The repairs aren't effecting any camping. They are minor. I paid a lot of money for this thing and went through hall with a lot of salesmen for over a year before I made the final deal, then hall again as we were signing the deal. I even had some discussions and letters with and to WW and the dealer prior to the final deal. It was a major deal for me to purchase this thing and I deserve the service I want and am owed. Just going to confirm they are and or will not do the work.
I'm going to keep calling them until I hear back. Either that or I will drive to the factory to see what I can see.
Sorry for the Attitide. Actually Attitude (Eclipse) was my pick for a toy hauler. MDW liked the WW. Go figure :@
